Thanked: 1160My stepdad was from Knightswood Glasgow and here in the US he raised me on such treats as Black and white puddings. And I am one sausage eating hobbit let me tell you. If sausage ever disappeared from the earth then so would I.

Cumberland, Lincolnshire, the good old Richmond sausage.
Nower days I eat vegetarian sausages.
They take hardly any cooking and can be quite nice..
I'm feeling hungry now.

Thanked: 3222I do love a good sausage and was very surprised at how good Cumberland sausage was when we visited the UK. We had brunch at a hotel in the UK and the breakfast sausage was very good also. I had the meat variety and the boss had the veggie variety. I had a taste of her's and got some more veggie sausage for myself as it was that good. Makes me wonder why any plant based meats I have tried over here taste nothing like the real thing.

It seems the UK is quite forward in catering for vegetarians . Vegetarian meals, products are available everywhere. Not quite the case in other European countries.
I find the veggie sausages to be OK in small doses.
My sandwiches today are veggie sausages with cheddar cheese, pickle and mayo.
Thought I'd share at that
Where did you visit in the UK Bob?
