Thanked: 2Blender?
I am looking for a blender. I need something that has decent performance. Looking to make green smoothies, vegetables, seeds, etc. I would buy a Vitamix, but can't afford that, at least not for the time being. I also would prefer something that has a glass jar. What are your experiences and suggestions?
Thanks

I don't know the brand, but a buddy of mine has a hand held gizmo that he says works great for smoothies, veggies, and cleans up way easier than a traditional blender. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...d+held+blender
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I really like this one: The Sage By Heston Blumenthal Kinetix Control Blender
Not cheap, but a lot cheaper than the vitamix, and boosting 2 hp it's quite efficient as well.

We've got this one and it works great for smoothies and most everything else: Amazon.com: Nutri Ninja Pro (BL450): Kitchen & Dining

Thanked: 603I'm that guy! Jimmy's always saying "If you're gonna put words in my mouth, don't quote me on 'em," so, don't quote me, lol. Hey, I use my KitchenAid immersion blender (aka "stick" blender) for whipping-up whey protein powder 'n banana shakes, after a workout; but I've been looking at "real" blenders recently, and I'm saving my shekels for a Nutri-Bullet 900 (available in stores!) Specifically, I don't want a Vitamix, or any other gizmo that separates-out the pulp from the liquid... I like the pulp (and so does my colon); yours will, too.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
