I'm not much of a collector so I couldn't see buying something I didn't plan on using. If it is a superior tool it should handle the use much better than the rest. If not I really can't see paying top dollar. To each his own though.

John at Lone Star Artisans does some great work. I have his end grain cherry, "The Chester". It's a joy to have, and use!

Thanked: 49Nice!!!! Its made from AEB-L which is stainless, takes a FINE, stable edge and is not problematic when it comes to sharpening like some "super stainless" No reason not to use it.
