    Default An Idaho Thanksgiving dinner

My wife and I are both burnt out on turkey ( I win 8-9 every year at the gun club) and Prime Rib so we decided to do something not very traditional this year. She is making Chili Colorado. I have never had a Thanksgiving without my family's recipe of Oyster dressing so I am making a large pan of it.

12 Goosepoint Oysters chopped ( any high grade oyster)
French bread dried out and cut up
    2 chopped onions
1.5 lb Turkey Gizzards cut into chunks ( pre baked until tender)
Real Turkey broth (froze and saved over from the last turkey)
    4 sticks Celery chopped
    pepper to taste
    dash sea salt
Dark meat of the turkey cut into chunks ( I saved and froze this from the last turkey also)
Put in roasting pan and cook at 350 for one hour - YUMMM
    I will post photos later

I like them a lot. Living in NOLA was a treat.

That sounds really good. I love trying new recipes and will have to give that one a go.
