I have had stainless steel pans...I find them useless ..and I don't even know why they are asking up kitchen space..probably because they cost so much...lol Maybe I will cash them in at the recycler. Cast iron and Teflon for me.

Best way I have found to clean a stainless pan (it's all we use) is to get as much of the food out as you can & dispose of it. Put as much water in the pan as you had food cooking and add a few drops of your favorite dishwashing detergent. Bring it to a slow boil. We use a glass top stove, I use a mid level setting of 5-6 out of 10. Once it comes to a boil, let it cool to warm. Everything comes out rather well for me.

Edit: If you heat on a high heat to speed things up and it comes to a rolling boil, you will get bubbles, lots of bubbles...messy. Stay in the kitchen...don't ask me how I know

I would think SS cannot be seasoned.Cast iron has a very open Grain structure and will absorb and hold the seasoning.
Not so with SS I think.JMO
