    Default Easter Fixin's 2015

Well even for those that don't Celebrate this Wondrous Day, we all must consume nourishment so I thought that I'd post what my 'Fixin's for today's meal with my youngest daughter, her boyfriend and their two beautiful children would be.

    Easter Dinner will be;

Pork Loin with Garlic/Rosemary/Black Pepper/Extra Virgin Olive Oil Rub then wrapped in Bacon and Roasted

Fresh Green Beans with Mushrooms/Onions/Bacon cooked in Chicken Broth

    Candied Sweet Potatoes

Russet potatoes quartered then dipped in Extra Virgin Olive Oil then dredged in Italian Bread Crumbs and baked.

Accompanied by a Sour Cream Dip with Chives and Bacon Bits for a Dip/Topping.

Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting for dessert.

Here's the Prep for the Pork Roast:

No Promises for the 'After Cooking' Pics as things will get hectic once all are here and things come to the 'Ready to Eat' Stage

Pretty basic for us today. Mains are an oven cooked bone in ham with scalloped potatoes and also veggie meatballs for the sole vegetarian present. No, I am not the vegetarian. There will also be French cut green beans, sliced carrots done in a bacon brown sugar sauce and coleslaw. Nothing fancy just stomach filling. Also with the prospect of French pea soup in the future.

    Sounds Good to this Yank!

Any Chance of Sharing the Carrots in Bacon Brown Sugar Sauce? Also interested in the French Pea Soup.

Here/PM or email would work! :

Shouldn't be a problem but the boss is busy right now and I haven't a clue, as usual, what goes into those or anything else cooking related. Post it tomorrow.

The Wifey is doing the dinner today

Glen is watching a "Hobbit" Marathon and worked on the 55 mph Workbench LOL

I bought the Ham so I know we are having that, she does it in the crock pot and bastes it all day and the aroma is getting me hungry

I saw a cake recipe for something called a Banana Poke Cake or some such thing, and that is looking good in the fridge I saw her crushing up Nilla Wafers for the topping Muhahahaha

I think I saw some Easter Deviled Eggs too

Pretty much been scooted out of the kitchen today every time I poke my nose in there...

Saw a bottle of Merlot on the table and some homemade Hawthorn Berry wine chilling in the fridge

I also for sure know we are having Homemade Au'Gratin Potatoes because I bought the Potatoes for it, and she dug out the recipe she got from my Mom

Mmmmmmmmmm going back to the couch to watch the 5 armies fight now

Sounds good, I dined with my adoptive grandparents (elderly neighbors). Ham, Kielbasi, mashed potatoes, salad, beets, and Broccoli. Cheesecake for desert.
