There is no finer pickle in the world than a Clausson Half Dill. That is all.

I had almost the same lunch but covered the burnt weenies with sauerkraut and had Fritos with Bean Dip as a side. Yes, Claussens accompanied them. I pickle a lot of cucumbers each summer but can't match Claussens for crispness.

I usually don't eat lunch but have my breakfast at 09:00 and eat an early supper but it looks like a good thread to join.

I've tried for years, and can not match the flavor or crispness exactly. I end up spending more money trying to match it than I would just buying the jar.

And my apologies - I did not intend to derail the lunch conversation. Perhaps there is a pickle thread in the future...
