    Default Any Wood Duck Recipes?

Well, I guess the duck calls I've been turning for my son and his hunting buddy have paid off; he shot his limit in the bitter cold this morning, and he's bringing home three wood ducks. I would consider myself a reasonably competent cook, but I have never cooked a duck. I've had pressed duck Asian style, and a crispy roast duck in a fancy restaurant with some sort of raspberry sauce one time-both were delicious.

So do any of you duck hunters or wild game cooks on here have a good duck recipe you wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks in advance. I'm googling of course, but just wondered what I might learn here.

Okay, I found this one-it looks fantastic: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/41...spberry-sauce/ I may make this for a special Christmas Eve dinner, unless one of you has a proven crowd-pleaser. Outback Mike, didn't you used to hunt ducks?

I have no experience but that looks great!

If I had experience I know it would help but at this time I wouldn't be able to tell if it was a wood duck or a mallard and if it was a hen or a drake until it would be to late for a shot....
