On Christmas day we traditionally go to the Chinese restaurant and have duck just Susie and the kids and myself. This year we are staying home and having standing rib roast.
Christmas eve is when we have the big family get together. There are about 30-35 depending on the year. We do the 6:00 at church then have Italian buffet style. My contribution is chicken parmigiana loosely based on Carmine's in Manhattan. We like the one in the theater district not that the one on Broadway is bad, we just like it better. Some of it I make by the book from their cookbook. Word of advice, get it for your house. You won't be sorry.

Other things I use some licence.
I make the scaloppine from scratch down to the bread crumbs. I also make the marina, or I should say my daughter and I do but that's another thread.

Christmas Dinner will be a very small gathering with a total of 7 (not counting Travis my new canine buddy).

I'll be thawing half a bone in ham that I bought last Easter later today.

Dinner will be the ham cooked in the Traegar with additional smoke provided by my smoke tube

    Sides will be:

    Mashed Potatoes
    Ham Gravy
    Homemade Baked Beans
    Homemade Dinner Rolls
    Various homemade jams

    Wedding Ring Pickles
    Black Olives

7up Pound Cake with Lemon Lime Drizzle

O I can't forget the Martinelli's Sparkling Cider as the kids and the grand kids go through it like Holy Water at a Sinner Convention

Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
