Well, I cooked my son's ducks. If he brings home some more, I might try to tenderize it in a recipe for the new crock pot Santa brought us.The meat was rich and flavorful, if pretty tough, and a few over-cooked parts did have the liver taste of over-cooked duck. But good overall with the raspberry sauce; the dogs enjoyed the leftover fat in their kibble.
Before, on the "Chaotic" pattern cutting board my woodworking buddy makes (also from Santa this year):
Plated on our old chipped china with the raspberry sauce lol. We didn't drag out the fancy stuff this year:
Pretty basic sides, though my wife did make a nice Christmassy mousse and pumpkin pie for desert, and pre-made our favorite sausage/egg/hash-brown/cheese breakfast casserole for tomorrow. Not to mention I'm eating all the Chex mix I can't deliver because we're in quarantine. Time to put on the stretchy pants, boys!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all, regardless of how you celebrate the season in this strangest of all seasons!Last edited by ScoutHikerDad; 12-25-2020 at 01:47 AM.
