Danish classic - Smørrebrød and lots of Carlsberg and Rød Aalborg
My favorite sandwich would have to be a Turkey and Ham Club sandwich (a variation of the classic Club) on Wheat bread.
3 slices of Wheat bread (toasted or untoasted).
Mayonnaise
Lettuce and Tomato
1-2 slices of Turkey + lettuce & tomato
1-2 slices of Ham (in place of the traditional bacon) + lettuce & tomato
Pardon me, while I head for the kitchen to make one...
Now if only I could flip top my jaw around this monster!
I honestly don't have one..when i'm hungry..I wan it all!
I thought I would get a little creative
Handberg: Welcome to SRP. The Danes do have excellent sandwiches and beer. :tu
Ah you're all to fancy shmancey. I have several favourites listed in order of favouriteness (it is too a word!!)
1) Peanut paste and Honey with thick butter and thick layer of penut paste and mix a good lot of honey into that mess. Bread can be anything you like but I prefer a good multi-grain.
2) VEGEMITE with a thin smear of butter on the bread but then slap on a dollop of butter in each corner on top of hat lot. Watch the cholesterol levels rise.
3) This is the one you use as a meal replacement...any or all meals...the other two are just snacks between meals.
Once again choose your favourite bread, butter the side that isn't getting the filling placed on it, sautee onions and a small amount of mushrooms in a pan, place on bread and top with a medium thick slices of cheese, then using the same pan as from onion and mushies, chunk in a prime cut of steak, not too thick, you gotta get yer mouth around this, then cook to your own tastes, I prefer my steak Moo-ing. Slap it on top of the cheese, slap the lid on, and place in a 'Forman' or other close lidded grill till bread is nicely toasted and chees is melted.
