just had another of my favorite sandwiches for dinner tonight. Sloppy joe made with ground hot Italian pork sausage instead of ground beef, piled on buttered Texas toast.
The 'Holy Trinity' will always be the best sandwiches in my book: Reuben, Pastrami, and Corned Beef!
being a native from Pa, specifically, the area about an hour north of philly, i have to go with the cheese steak, i have had them in many different areas, but for some reason, they dont taste as good as those from my neck of the woods, now i havent had the pleasure of getting one from ginos on south street, so those of you who have can attest to those.
I do like a Subway, foot long, Meatball on Oregano, shredded carrot, lots of black olives, little bit of tomato and that's about it. Oh, Old English Cheese, can't remember what sauce, Tomato maybe...

Herring sandwiches
There are a lot of things that go into the perfect sandwich. Not only the ingreedients, but also the time and place the sandwich was enjoyed. Many years ago I was working at a pub in a place called gypsy point, which is at the pointy end of Victoria, Australia. On a day off I rode my bike into town to get away from the pub for a while. When I arrived in town I went to the local cafe and ordered a sandwich. My sandwich was made in front of me by a plump looking middle aged woman who looked like she had honed her art at making sandwiches. I had roasted chicken and avacardo club sandwich on rye bread. I have since tried to find another chicken and avacardo sandwich to compare, but nothing could ever match that sandwich.
