The closest sandwich among the "real" Norwegian ones is the open face shrip, mayo and a slice of lemon on white bread.
There is a crab combination sandwich with mayo / lemon also.

One of the best I had was in New Orleans this past summer while there on a boondoggle w/ the US Coast Guard Reserve (thanks to BP)

Something is really amiss here. I went through every post here, (good thing I did it after lunch) and no one said a Big mac or a quarter pounder or any other fast food offering. Hey what's going on? They are eaten by the billions. If people didn't think they are the best why do they eat so many of them?

Product research people from all the usual suspects want to know. Are you guys just a bunch of throwbacks or something. Next thing you'll be saying is you shave with something like a straight razor.

I am a fan of the big mac myself but is it just me or did they get smaller? I think millions of people eat that stuff for its convienience. I mean Britney Spears sold Millions of records doesn't mean she can sing. Right?

The reason you will not find the big mac here is that it is the sandwich equivalent of the mock3 - fast but not that good.

I'm a simple man...

Brooklyn sesame bagel, toasted dark, touch of mayo, hard (genoa) salami, one slice of provolone, romaine and a slice or two of tomato. A nice pickle on the side. Pair it with a Sam Adams brown ale and it's the perfect weekend lunch in Springtime. I usually enjoy it under the grapevines in the backyard.

Mind you, I don't make it, but the wife does. Oh, so well too!
