I first found this great beer in Scotland too. In the Caledonian sample rooms in Edinburgh
I was in St Andrews. Although it's a small town, it's filled with students and academics from around the world so there's a ready-made customer base for interesting drinks.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

There's a new brewery that just opened close to me, in Saint Jacobs, called Block 3. They have some great beers in their lineup including a Saison, A pale ale, Porter and they're also doing seasonal beers. I'll be buying a lot from them.

Probably they do get confused easily. Like when they try to order an Irish scotch

Nope. The red gown is for undergrads and I was a postgrad. Besides, I wouldn't have worn it anyway. The only time I wore a gown there was to pick up my PhD. and that one's blue, not red. I do miss that place though...

With lunch I had a pint of guiness. But now sipping away at a baltika.
