Over in Scotland for the weekend.
Sampled a few different ales but this was my favourite. I do like an 80 shilling

Not entirely sure yet. I'll definitely be visiting friends in Edinburgh and Fife, but otherwise may do a fair bit of aimless wandering. There are a few places I didn't get around to visiting when I lived there (often coincidentally involving distilleries...) and some old favourites I'm looking forward to seeing again.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

SHMBO called today to tell me those words I so love to hear, "honey, the ceiling in the kitchen is wet." The AC drain pan runneth over. So I spent several hours in a 140 deg attic today. This calls for a real beer. Abita Andygator.
Abita Andygator®, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator® is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.Last edited by str8tlkr; 04-26-2014 at 02:03 AM.

Heady Topper
My neighbor gave me this Heady Topper pounder last night. His buddy brought him a case of it from the Alchemist brewery in Vermont. From what I understand, it's hard to find in most of the country. Gooood stuff if you're a hop addict.
