SHMBO called today to tell me those words I so love to hear, "honey, the ceiling in the kitchen is wet." The AC drain pan runneth over. So I spent several hours in a 140 deg attic today. This calls for a real beer. Abita Andygator.
Abita Andygator®, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator® is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.Last edited by str8tlkr; 04-26-2014 at 02:03 AM.

Heady Topper
My neighbor gave me this Heady Topper pounder last night. His buddy brought him a case of it from the Alchemist brewery in Vermont. From what I understand, it's hard to find in most of the country. Gooood stuff if you're a hop addict.

Thanked: 2284Just mowed the lawn, gave a coat of poly to some razor scales, about to plant some blueberry bushes and decided to have a pint first. One of my favorite Heffes, Granville island Robson street Hefeweizen. First time I ever had this beer was at the old noodle factory in Gas town, BC 4 years ago. Loved it then, and love it now.
