For me it's a seasonal thing: it's not summer until I've had my 1st gin and tonic with a twist of lime. Brand is unimportant, lots of ice IS. There's nothing more refreshing, but I don't drink it at any other time of the year.

And any bartender who would put club soda in a gin and tonic is clearly not fit for the job.
There are many roads to sharp.

Tanquray for gin and tonics or tom collins, and beefeater for a martini.

Needless to say, watching him drink the club soda straight then the tonic water straight was pretty funny altogether. But he understood his error, and i was compensated. Its one of those mistakes that he'll learn from.

Bombay Sapphire, vermouth, and a ****tail onion. served up.
    Liquid truth serum for me.

On a side note, has anyone ever had Tempelton Rye before? What is your opinion? My in-laws live in the town that it is distilled in. They say that it has been doing well in competitions around the country. Subsequently it has become very hard to find. I would like to try it next time it comes available.

No, off topic. It is a Rye.

Its something all right. then if you want when your all done, you can eat the "gin apples" or mash them to make a different flavored applesauce. I know it sounds strange, but its actually pretty good.
My friend does this using Vodka and pretty much any fruit she can lay her hands on. The peach and strawberry versions are rather nice.

I know it's not classy by any means, but Kratchie got me hooked on New Amsterdam. It may only be $20 per handle, but at least it comes in a glass bottle.

I like it on the rocks with a splash of tonic. Haven't been drinking much recently, but when I do, I can drink it all night.

Well, you shouldn't be drinking the cheap stuff that comes in plastic bottles.
