Add some mixed veg and red cabbage, and proceed to demolish.
My fiancée and I celebrated our two year anniversary today, and naturally I cooked :). It was a beautiful meal of ribeye over cauliflower purée, and topped with sautéed mushrooms. The wine was Cabernet Sauvignon.

Might I inquire how you did your puree. I have a friend who eats this because she can't do taters. I have never tried it but I do like cauliflower. And of course once again, the meeeeet looks awesome !!
Sure! It's pretty simple- cut a whole head of cauliflower into 1 inch cubes (doesn't have to be precise), and add that plus about 1.5 cups of heavy cream (plus salt to taste) to a pot and simmer for about 20 minutes. Cook it covered if it's looking thick, uncovered if it's thin. Once everything is soft, blend it in a blender/food processor, adding more cream if necessary to get that nice silky texture. It should end up looking like mashed potatoes, maybe even slightly less firm. That's it really :)

We have an almond paste filling inside our "semlor", never heard of strawberries though. You mean as filling, right? Another, more unusual, way to eat them is in a bowl with hot milk. To get more flavor I add cardamom and sugar to the milk. To drink with the semla we don't have anything special, milk maybe. The beer is just me doing things a bit differently. This is at least what I personally am used to. It's interesting to see how we do things differently. Do you have anything else you differently except for the punch?
Semlor/fettisdagsbulle is very seasonal yummu here, available only during few weeks during this time of the year. It's a celebration with paganic origins, later adapted by church. Originally it used to be some sort of feminine celebration. Nowadays known as pääsiäinen/fettisdagen. Hey the day will be in few weeks!
Semlor always come filled with lots of whipped cream and either almond or strawberries/raspberries (fresh or jam). But not both.
Some like almonds, some, like me, prefer berries.
The traditional and decent way to enjoy semlor is with a shot of arrack punch, although some prefer akvavit. Kids have to get along with milk or juice.
Pretty much like here though besides the punch and berries as I mentioned. But not everybody likes the almond paste so when we make home made ones the almond paste can be substituted with something like jam, chocolate or whatever you feel like. I haven't seen those options in stores though, and it is not the traditional way of making them. Just writing about it makes me want to eat one ;)
Yeah, kinda. A hollow bun filled with a mixture of almond paste, the bread that was removed to make the bun hollow, and whipped cream. On top of that is even more whipped cream, and at the very top we have the lid sprinkled with powdered sugar. Sounds delicious, right? ;)

Punsch seems to be somewhat traditional goodie here on the southwest coast although of what i know it's almost unknown in the northern/eastern parts of the country.
Spaghetti squash..topped with ground turkey,diced tomato,herbs,cheese..bake for 40 min...no pans to clean either !!!http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/...pscd699a90.jpg
cut squash in 1/2 long way..scoop out seeds. Brown the ground turkey,mushrooms,onion in a pan. When done browning....put meat into cavity of squash ,then pour a 12-14 oz can of diced tomatoes ontop , cover with your choice of cheese ...place on cookie sheet or pan ...and into a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes. ENJOY...quick and easy..and quite tasty....oh yeah...eat it right out of its own natural bowl !!
