    Thanks for all the ideas folks. Just getting into Whiskey recently, having started on the easier-to-drink Irish whiskies and now moving on to some single malts. First up is a 12yo glenfiddich.

    I've been enjoying Tullamore Dew lately; I find I prefer Irish or Canadian (in that order) whiskey to Scotch though only slightly. Just don't hand me Jack, Beam or any of the American Bourbons. Far too harsh. How they can get away with writing the word "whiskey" on the label escapes me.

    I fully agree with you here, and Tullamore is the one reason I haven't been moved to try more scotch whiskies. Very smooth and refreshing, great for any mood.

    Tullamore Dew is my favorite as well.
