As for the Balcones, I will be picking up my bottle out of state during my travels this weekend. PA does not offer it either. I feel your pain. I am also looking forward to trying it out!

A lot of the Northern VA ABC stores carry Copper Fox Rye, but not the other varieties. I've been up to the distillery, but didn't get a tour. Young but respectable taste, I can agree, but at the prices he is charging for a bottle, I can think of a half dozen other labels I'd rather get. I also did not like that beyond their script the staff could not answer the simplest question like, what's in the gin? (only thing I didn't like at all)

A big birthday party was there at the same time, and the tasting room got very loud and obnoxious when the tour let out. The staff was so concerned with that group. Maybe it was my bad timing, but altogether unpleasant experience. Didn't meet Rick, but I'm sure he would have been more pleasant than the young ladies he has on staff.
