I finally picked up a bottle of Highland Park 12 this week. At about half of what I've paid for some of the Islay peat monsters, it's a pretty good all around whisky as some have reported. A little sweet and a little smokey, a nice change for this hellacious summer.

Definitely give it a try, it's very smooth and smells wonderful. Taste is on the sweeter side of the spectrum in my opinion.
