Good choice. It's always been a favourite of mine.

I went to get a replacement Lag 16. Saw this and the Glendronach Peated and got very distracted from my initial mission. Been wanting to try the Talisker 10, so that's what I ended up deciding on. Very happy with my decision.

Can't stand the taste of peat moss burned on a rotten log from a methane infused swamp.

Man...I did one shot, and could still taste it the next day while eating fried scrapple, its way too peaty for me, and thought that eating the scrapple ( which I don't care for ) would kill the after taste. NOT..!!

we've got a few large peat bogs in this area, and one caught on fire. (underground ) burt for days before they got it put out. So I've had my fill of it.

I'm convinced Talisker was better 15 years ago. Thanks for mentioning the Glandronach peated. I hadn't heard of that, but I was very impressed by their 15 year old revival so I'll look out for it.

Well it's pretty darn good at present IMO. compared to other peated whiskies I've had, it may very well be in second under Lag 16.

Yeh, definitely still good, but used to be absolute magic! Lag 16's a god choice too. Have you tried the distillers edition? I've got a bottle in the cupboard but not opened it yet.
