Thread: After after shave

Gents,
Had an interesting conversation with a friend about...what else...shaving procedures. He shaves in the morning and then says around mid afternoon or early evening he goes back in to the shave den and splashes on some more aftershave and then unrefined shea butter.

Me on the other hand typically don't apply anything after my shave until the next day when it is time to shave again.

So I was just curious if you guys did anything between shave routines?

I dont, I must admit.

I use Trumpers Skin Food after the shave and then put cologne just on the side of my neck. If I'm out in the evening I might apply more cologne but thats about it really.

I have made references to "after shaving wearing out" before on these forums. Some aftershave balms that I use (I don't touch lotions or anything with alcohol) simply don't last past the 5 or 6pm point. Others wear off sooner.

I find I touch up with a bit of Nivea Creme sometimes, or rinse my face and apply a balm all over again.

The most longest lasting balm for me so far? L'Oreal Men Expert 24 hr hydrating balm. Not tried the newest formulation though...

I wash my face when I get home from work and put on some aftershave, no good reason for this other than I like to.

Women do it all the time with cosmetic items. If you wear AS or Cologne for the scent it wears out so it makes sense to me.
