    Default Cold Water and Balm

I use a post shave balm. My question is, do I dry the cold water off my face first, or should I apply the balm while my face is still wet?

    I think either will work

    Rinse off lather.

    Cold water splashes to face

    Apply balm

IMO leaving the face at least damp helps disperse the lotion more evenly and uses less product.

    The aforementioned YMMV

I've done it both ways and don't see a difference.

A wet face will dilute the effectiveness of the balm and leave more of it on your hands. Apply the balm to a dry face for best results.

That's my kind of question. Great one.

I agree. Most aftershave balms and lotions have water (aqua) as a main ingredient, so why would you want to decrease it's performance by adding more water?

I like to do a final cold rinse, pat my face dry on the towel, then to apply balm/lotion.

I usually allow my face to air dry while i straightening up after shaving and then apply the balm.

I agree. Always let it dry before applying balm.
