No alcohol listed on my AS, but ...
I'm using Nivea for Men "Energy" AS splash Instant Effect
It says it soothes the skin with Taurine on the front, a mention of formula with Taurine and Vitamin E on the back under "How it works"
I don't see an ingredients list on it. Is there another way to determine whether or not this AS has alcohol.
Thanks.

Thanked: 1195I seem to recall hearing that the Nivea line isn't 100% alcohol free, but I'm only going by memory. Either way, I've used the sensitive and the regular balms for years and it's good stuff. Never experienced any skin dryness whatsoever.

Well, I've never used Taurine on my face before this AS. I gotta tell ya, it does feel as if there is alcohol in here. Then again... never used Taurine before
Oh. I'm not drying out, but then again, I haven't begun to straight shave yet...Last edited by Siguy; 08-28-2013 at 11:59 PM.

Thanked: 1195TMK neither have I. I'm assuming that Taurine is an ingredient in the new Energy line only, because I'm pretty sure it isn't in the "classic" line. I'll have to check my bottle just to be sure....
As for the dryness issue, I know you didn't mention it but that's usually the #1 reason why people don't like alcohol based aftershaves. But if that's not a problem then carry on

Duh. I can't believe I didn't put Taurine and energy drinks together. Now I'm really curious as to what putting it on my face is doing. Maybe, I should take a swig.

Taurine is supposed to help with hydration in skin products.
