Sampson's All Natural w/ Marisol
So,
Got an order in from TSS the other day, and one of the samples the guys threw in was a little .5 oz tub of Sampson's all natural Marisol After Shave balm. The stuff is the consistency of Burt's Beeswax, since the various oils in it are suspended in bee's wax.
I followed the instructions on the little package, and got a pretty pleasant result. It was very moisturizing and had a slightly eucalyptic type aroma to it. I wouldn't call it minty, but it was nice. Very cooling and soothing on an irritated face.
I checked out their website, and for shaving, at least, they have soap and this AS balm at a fairly reasonable price for an all natural product, and shipping is free.
Has anyone else tried any of their products? I don't know if it'll find it's way into the little barber shop I'm building myself in my bathroom, but I did definitely enjoy the balm, and will probably use the entire tub rather than throw it out as I do most of my free samples.

I got the same sample with a recent order. Tried it a couple of times. It was ok. I'm thinking I'm going to save it for the winter and see how it works then, when my skin is drier and more wind-burned. That'll be the true test, for me.

Thanked: 14I've used Sampson's Natural Shaving Soap from TSS and am very satisfied with its creamy lather. TSS says that it is comparable to a certain prestigious European soap (aka Martin de Candre) as Omega is to Proraso. It's easy to lather, has good glide and cushion and leaves your face soft. All this at a very reasonable price that's about equal to 1/4 the total cost of the European soap when shipping charges are included. I'm a soap user whose former favorite go-to was Tabac but now Sampson's taken my top spot. The current version is unscented but that's acceptable to me. I have hard water but still get easy thick creamy lather.
