i have two flavors but both are vinegar based. half cup of water half cup of either apple cider vinegar or white vinegar and then a table spoon of olive oil and a half teaspoon of preshave oil.

after five minutes there is no sent and it works both as an astringent and post shave moisturizer

    what about you guys

And what ever you have left over you can use on your salad??

Actually you're right. It has been used as a skin cleaner and toner in the past. The use of vinegar goes back at least to Ancient Rome where Roman solders were issued an allotment of vinegar for medicinal uses.

I use equal parts rubbing alcohol and witch hazel with lime essential oil. The lime offers a short term top note and Im looking to add a longer lasting scent in my next batch. The AS is very soothing with very little bite.

With the new postal regulations I'm just wondering how long it will be before companies starting sending out the base ingredients for aftershaves and fragrances and have us add the alcohol!! Seems like it would make sense.

Several of the "imported" AS preps do exactly that. The base ingredients are shipped in and the cheap stuff is added in the U.S.

My routine has become to apply a splash of AS to my face and neck, then combine a splash of the same to a dollop of unscented moisturizer, and thus my custom scented ASB.

    Sometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.
