Good morning gents,

Just wanted to share my thoughts on a product that has amazing performance to prevent and/or cure razor burn.

A bit of background: I've been SR shaving for about two years, and normally did a two pass shave, 5-6 days a week. The shave was close and smooth, but it did cause some burn and irritation. I tried many products to try to tame my sensitive skin, including soaps/creams made for sensitive skin, alum, witch hazel, AoS aftershave, pure coconut oil, Nivea aftershave balm, and Dolerma emulsion. Most of these products did not do much to calm the burn, so now I stick with a one-pass shave for daily purposes, and two-passes when I want to treat myself, or for special occasions.

One of the products that I tried actually did help the razor burn a lot, and that is Dolerma. On Friday, I actually did a 4-pass shave, something that I know would normally give me burn and irritation, but this was a test... After the shave I did a quick pass with alum, then applied some Dolerma, and I carried-on with my day comfortable and irritation-free. I've only used Dolerma two or three times, but every time I noticed a dramatic difference with my normal routine, in that it completely stopped the burn which would normally last two or three hours after the shave.

Nivea aftershave also worked ok, but not quite as well. I'm going to do another test to see how pure coconut oil performs compared to these other two options, since it's the cheapest option and I've found that it helped in the past. I'll try to update my results if anybody is curious!
