    Default Sterling AS alternative

With all my years of wet shaving I haven't really branched out with AS.
I stuck with some oldies but goodies...Old spice (childhood thing) and Clubman (love the scents except Liliac) to name a couple.

Recently I'm expanding my horizons. A good fellow from another forum forwarded me some Sterling samples.
I love them. The post use feeling is spot on for me, and I'm digging a couple of the scents.

Looking for some more recommendations for AS based on performance.

I'm not a big balm guy. The ones I've tried left me a little oily/greasy. Although the response off the WK balms have me considering them. For you fellas that use the WK balm...how is the "grease factor" on them? how are there ASs?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Jer

I like their British Leather. It actually smells like leather!

The Stirling AS can be special in that it has witch hazel blended into it as well. I would say that no American shaver's cabinet is complete without some bay rum. Captain's Choice is pretty strong and fiery, and lots of folks like it, but I personally prefer Grand Bay Bay Rum to it these days. I also use it with a pea-sized amount of 444 post-shave balm mixed in for a slow, cool-down effect.
