Thread: Source for After Shave Balms

Hello members, I'm in the market for some new after shave balm (or maybe alcohol free splash) but I wanted to find the best source for samples.

I found Maggardrazors to have a large selection but I would rather buy smaller testers to find a fragrance and performance I like.

Any other sites I should check out?

Check out Phoenix Accoutrements. They make their own right there and have a ton of varieties and are always coming out with new ones.

Normally, I do not use aftershave splashes and balms. I try to use soaps that are so good that the after-shave products are not needed. However, if the post-shave performance of the soaps is any indication, some sources of balms, non-alcohol splashes, serums and toners worth consideration are:

Ariana and Evans
Grooming Department
Murphy and McNeil
Wholly Kaw
Zingari Man

I have left some names off the list because their products contain alcohol. Most aftershave splashes do contain alcohol, so be sure to read the ingredients list if you want to avoid alcohol. Also, some products contain menthol, which irritates my skin, so I look for products without it.

I've personally used Herban Cowboy Dusk, Neutrogena balm, and Osma Aftershave Balm. All three work great... Neutrogena is fragrance free should that be of any concern. Osma's is my favorite... seems to keep my face hydrated the best. I can't help rubbing my face for hours after getting a close straight shave followed by Osma...
