I love the Clubman as well. Its an excellent, reasonably-priced quality aftershave. Its my go-to afterahave.
I must admit, though, that recently I have been attracted to Booster products--especially their Polar Ice."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

I'm a fan of Clubman, Lustray Coach (same scent), Bay Rum, and I adore the Vanilla. Yep just call me a fan.

After seeing Clubman in Walgreen's stores for years and then, this post, I had to stop by and buy a bottle of the Clubman AS tonight. I like it. My wife does not.
I found a site that sells sample sizes (2oz) of the Pinaud AS and hair tonics. In a quest for something that my wife will approve of, I ordered samples of the AS in Lime Sec, Citrus Musk, Vanilla and eau de Portugal and eau to quinine hair tonics.

I too am rather fond of Clubman and Bayrum. Can't handle the Lilac Vegetal though. When I was a little tyke and sneaking around watching my grand father shave, he would get annoyed. To run me off he'd put Lilac Vegetal on my face then laugh like hell. At 5 & 6 years of age it stung and turned my cheeks rosy. Then my Mom would get PO'ed. That smell doesn't bring back fond memories, but the Clubman does. The small town I live in still has an old style barber shop. Barber pole and all.............not a SALON. They still clean up around your ears and neck with a str8 and warm lather, then finish it off with Clubman. Folks around here call it a red neck barber shop. I call it heaven. Haircuts for 10.50 & shaves for 7.50. Then we always throw the barber a nice tip.

Pinaud Vanilla
I got a sample of the Pinaud Vanilla recently and I wonder if they gave me something else? The color of the aftershave lotion is a pale brown/amber (like the color of ginger ale). But to my nose, it smells nothing like vanilla. To me it smells similar in some way to Polo by Ralph Lauren. I don't get any vanilla out of it.
I also got a sample of Lime Sec and Citrus Musk I'll be trying.
Any thoughts on the Pinaud Vanilla?

Thanked: 4What was the site that sold the sample sizes? I am looking to try a few out but don't want to buy a large bottle only to find out that I dislike the scent.
