Alum block????
what is alum block used for? How is it applied? It is a post shave treatment for.........

It's basically a type of salt.
Apply to a wet face. Just wipe the block of alum all over. Allow to dry and then wipe off with a damp cloth. Although some might say to just leave it on.
It is an astringent (closes pores) and antispetic (kills bacteria)
Tastes like crap so be careful not to get it on your lips.

If you get it make sure you get the Potassium Alum and not the Ammonium Alum. The ammonium type is what they use in deodorant and can burn like the dickens.
