That depends on what products you have in mind: shaving soap or cream, aftershave balm, aftershave, and so on. Also, products available at Walgreen only? In which case I can suggest little, since the only product I buy from Walgreen these days is Pinaud aftershave. Also, around Christmas the store near my house has some good sales on traditional aftershaves, including English Leather and Royal Copenhagen, which I still use.

    Hi Obie,

I guess I am curious what you use for an after shave balm. Currently I am using MWF soap, cold water then lots of witch hazel. I have noticed that sometimes my face could use some extra moisture. I usually bug my wife for a little face cream but was going o pick up some Nivia.

Nivia gets such a good rep I was wondering what was even better. I am not afraid to spend some money on things because this is my current main hobby and interest.

I have been thinking about getting some samples so i can try lots of things. Lotions, Soaps, Creams, Balms, etc.

    Thank you,

    Default Cheap Nivea Balm

    Hello, Shoki:

Through the years I have used a variety of aftershave balms. Currently I use the aloe Vera aftershave balm by Edwin Jagger (available from the English Shaving Co.). I really like this. Also, for years I have used the Geo F. Trumper coral skin food. This is really good stuff, with a delightful rose fragrance. Apply it and, after cleaning up and putting the razor away, by which time the rose fragrance has faded, then apply your favorite aftershave lotions.

    Regards,
    Obie

    Shoki,

I can't say personally, as I just got both yesterday. I shaved this evening and used the 'Extreme Comfort'. I give it 2 thumbs up. It had a very light menthol feel to it, which was nice. I personally like menthol so I would dig it if it was heavier but any is nice in my opinion. The fragrance is also very nice. Subtle, but nice. My wife likes it which is a plus (she seems to be picky on post shave scents). It was a tad bit on the oily/greasy side. Very, very little. I don't like when post shave balms are oily/greasy but will continue to use the Extr. Comf., so please don't let that dissuade you from at least trying it.

The 'Sensitive Skin' does not seem to have any fragrance to it at all. Will let you know more on Thurs.; prob be the next time I shave (grow faster, beard! Damnit!!) Zib said he likes to mix it with T&H 1805 as it is very expensive and mixing helps stretch it out 'cause the fragrance is low - none.

    Also, check this review out:

The sensitive is quite nice as well. It does have a little more scent to it than I originally thought. If you were going to mix it with something else, the something else would have to be strong; I could be mis-quoting Zib as well or he may be talking about a different Nivea product.

Can definately tell a difference between the two, the Sensitive Skin is lighter (hence the name). I will continue to use both.
