Shake your Aftershave!
This seems like a silly little tip, but I definitely noticed a difference when I started shaking up my aftershave prior to application.
I was using the Institut Karite aftershave for a while and while I liked the product, I was not too impressed with the moisturizing it provided. Well, a few days ago, I decided to give it a good shake prior to applying it.
I noticed the difference immediately. The liquid came out of the bottle creamy instead of runny. After application, my face felt really good and my impression of the product changed completely.
I guess that aftershaves could settle and some of the good stuff might fall to the bottom. So, just a little reminder that it can't hurt to shake your balm before applying.

Thanked: 23No shaking necessary for my old school aftershaves. If what you have is some type of emulsion, it could separate over time. A good shake should fix it.

Thanked: 1195Shaking is more useful for balms than splashes, although next shave I'll have to see if I give a bottle of lotion a shake just out of habit....

When I said aftershave, this is exactly what I meant. I was referring to aftershave balms. I'm not sure if it would have much affect on splashes, but with my balms, I have not only noticed a big difference in the consistency of the liquid, but it seems to enhance the performance of the product.
It can't hurt and it only takes seconds, so it is worth doing and could improve results.
