Dry skin after shave
I have been using my vintage razor for a while now, and i just recently wore it out, so i brought a new DOVO, really exited, shaved liked a dream, never had a better shave, the next day my skin was all dry and piece of skin fell off in flakes, i held it back by splashing water, but is there like a moisturizer, for men that anyone recommends

There are plenty of post shave balms/moisturisers that will do the trick. At the moment I use a Loreal post shave balm and it works well.

The Proraso Aftershave Balm works great at moisturizing skin. There are also many more products out there.

There are tons of products you could try for this dryness.
We all develop different post shave routines, depending on our various skin types, and what products we use for the rest of the process leading up to the post shave treatment.
Personally I use Thayer's Medicated SuperHazel most days, then I finish off with an Aftershave balm.
Check out this wiki article for a bit more info
Hope that helps a bitBjoernar

Another option that I have used in the past is vitamin E oil. It is usually found in either the skin care area or cosmetic section of most stores.

Wore it out.... tell me how. Razors can last 100 years in use.
As for a moisturizer shop for one of the Nivea post shave balms.
You can also take one or two drops of mineral oil and rub it on your hands
then on your wet face. Or baby oil....
Read the labels --
Avoid products with alcohol as
they tend to dry the skin.
There are many many more products out there.
I am a fan of the old brand names. Compounding
a quality balm that is better than the old brands
is difficult.
Read the labels both on men and women's products. Some
hand creams, leg and body creams have almost the
same ingredient lists. This short list of common ingredients
is a short list for a short list of good reasons.

Thanked: 267I use some high quality hand creams before I go to bed on my face. This does a couple of things like make the morning shave awesome and also makes any moisturizer that is used during the day more effective. A lot of shaving soaps tend to dry the skin specially non-tallow types. Moisturizers tend to be a little light and, for me, is not really enough. I like Nivea Extreme Comfort after a shave and it works very well for me and is not very expensive.
Take Care,
Richard
