Default After-shave balm that won't break the bank

    Hi all,

I'm pretty new here and I thought I might draw on the massive well of knowledge that is this forum!

For an after-shave balm I've had the pleasure of using L'Occitane CADE. This was a gift from my girlfriend and it's freaking amazing. The only problem is the price. It's around AUD$40-$50 for 75ml, and id like to find something cheaper that I could use on a daily basis.

SO.. mayhaps some of you have used CADE and could offer a comparable alternative? Something as enjoyable and nourishing but without the price tag.

    Thanks in advance

...please excuse me if this is in the wrong forum section. I just saw that there is a aftershave section in "shaving equipment".

    sahay,

Quite a few people use the Nivea aftershave balms (they do a 'standard' and sensitive versions) as they work well and are very well priced

I tend to use E45 Lotion if my face needs a balm.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Any moisturizing cream you girlfriend has will work fine (and, believe me, she has them). That's free!

Hello, Sahay: I go along with my friend Russ: Nivea is good for an inexpensive aftershave balm.

It seems we have a consensus. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

Nivea is a great choice. I like the scent of the original, but I actually prefer the performance of the sensitive.

    Proraso is good too.

I don't know the availability in the southern hemisphere, but corn huskers lotion is my favorite go to balm.

I'm another vote for the Nivea.
