Thanked: 8Bay Rum Use
I have been wet shaving for years, but recently graduated to putting cold hard steel against my throat. I have used Dominica Bay Rum for years. I have used it for cuts, burns etc and it seems to work. I would prefer not to have such a high alcohol content (at least in the bay rum), but it seems to work. Does anyone use bay rum without the alcohol (don't know if it exists)? What about different brands?

I just started SR shaving and using the Dominica Bay Rum along with that and for me atleast it doesn't seem to sting too awful much. My main issue is that it seems to dry my skin out severely. After I apply that I've been putting on some lotion or balm, but even then I have to get out the chap stick because my lips are dry! It seems to work well though, and I am liking it so far.. I do sneak a little clubman in there on some days though.

I like the scent of Bay Rum. I just wish it lasted more than an hour.
