Thanked: 3222I don't use talc but there are two types of talc, one being perfectly fine for use and the other contaminated form is a carcinogen WHMIS Classifications: Talc, Containing No Asbestos or Crystalline Silica .

I use it on my face, I'm trying to decide if it goes good with old spice aftershave, scent wise.

Thanked: 45I use Gold Bond and apply it with a nice horsehair brush that a barber gave me. For some reason this just seems to "finish" shave and I'm not sure why. I have been concerned about the whole cancer deal and not sure if Gold Bond is the same as Talc. Anyone know?

Any cosmetic grade talc contains no asbestiform fibers which Is what is in industrial grade talc and is classified as a human carcinogen. So no it does not cause cancer. The article I posted on this thread from the national institute of health details all of it. It's a good read.
