Default L' Oreal After Shave Balms

I'm not sure this has been mentioned on the forums... I know that Nivea makes some popular after shave balms among the SR community, but I've recently discovered L'Oreal's sensitive line of ASB for men.

It has so far worked quite well for me following a straight razor shave, so I just thought I'd mention it in case it helps others. Generally the cream is unscented, although there is a very delicate soapy/creamy note in there that I just can't pinpoint. Nonetheless, worthy of a mere £4-6.

The big skincare companies make rather good products at pretty low prices, so yeah Nivea, L'Oreal, Neutrogena, etc. they're all quite good.

That's good to hear. I've always been a big fan of Nivea (still use the creme product on non-shave days), but as I got into wet shaving more and more, I started to buy less and less of their products (canned goo, etc). So now I only use the creme.

With L'Oreal however, it was love at first try, after finding a sample of the balm in a men's magazine. I eventually got a bottle at a very good price and fell in love. I keep mine in the car in case I get some irritation later on in the day...

Nothing wrong with the L'Oreal range. It is pretty comprehensive, at least in Europe.

It's been creeping up in price a bit in recent years as they have realised that men are happy to pay for quality but I would say its good value and there are often good deals here.

I would place the range alongside Nivea between drugstore own brand and Clarins.

Once I get through my surplus of Kiehl's I may get some L'Oreal in the cabinet.

It'll definitely be worth it. L' Oreal's range is indeed quite comprehensive. something for everybody and definitely worth having a look at at least for 'every day' products.
