Default Nivea Sensitive Skin Post Shave Balm (New Active Comfort Formula)

So I just picked up some of this stuff, as I was using Proraso pre-shave cream as a post-shave treatment, which did wonders for my sensitive skin, but the wife absolutely HATED the smell of my face afterwards. Since I do like to get close with the woman I married, I decided to find a quick alternative by running to Wal-Mart. And boy, am I glad I did. I actually tried this stuff several years ago, before the new "Active Comfort" formula. I don't remember it being anything really special. I don't remember why I stopped using it, but I did. This stuff is AMAZING. I put some on right after a cold water rinse after two passes with the straight, and instantly it calmed down the usual irritation I get. I actually used it on my entire face, per the recommendation of someone's review on Amazon. For whatever reason, my forehead gets itchy and I sometimes get little bumps there. Probably due to me running a blowdryer in that general area after using some hair product to keep my hair somewhat decent looking. Anyway, this stuff took care of the itchiness and bumps, too. It goes on like a runny lotion, and a lot goes a long way. Dries fast, but left my skin feeling great and moisturized. Not oily whatsoever, nor does it "shine" at all.

I love this stuff and will continue using it. For the price, it can't be beat, IMO. I was going to try some more expensive post-shave balms I've seen recommended for sensitive skin, like Trumpers Skin Food, but honestly, with how awesome this stuff is, I don't see the point in trying anything else. Besides, I'd hate to spoil myself and then come back to this stuff and it not seem so great anymore!

Cheers, Nivea makes good products, and if you've found what you like among then, go with it. On the other hand, Trumper's Coral Skin Food is an experience.

I was in need of some new aftershave and after reading your review I went and got some. It's pretty nice stuff and does well on my usually sensitive skin. Thanks for the review!

Oh I definitely want to try some Trumper's some day. I will treat myself to some once I am established with a new job (quitting my job and moving back to my hometown to try and get a job with my degree in that area).

The new Active Comfort Formula is definitely a vast improvement over their previous products.

As you said, goes on slick (runny) and dries well. A little does go a long way!

Chreees, I've been using the same Nivea product as you for about 2 months now and it does wonders
    for my sensitive skin.
For AUD$13.00 it is a godsend and I can just walk across the road to the chemist and get some more
    when I have too.
This hasn't happened yet as a little truly goes a long way as mentioned !!

Whoops...looks like I misread my bottle, it's Extreme Comfort that I have; and it's very good!
