Ok, I tried the lime mint rum today. It opens with (obviously) lime, but not the cheap synthetic candy smell; actual lime. The rum seems to me to be a white unspiced rum with a hint of green mint. The dry down is the interesting part though, it begins to turn kind of candyish on me. Almost like the smell of one of those red sweet tart lollipops (the big ones you saw in the convenience stores when you were a kid). Longevity has been surprising. I could smell it for about 2 hours, but I can still touch my face and smell it on my hands now...I shaved about 10 this morning. Nice clean, soft scent, but I don't think it's one I would buy the whole shebang. The name is pretty deceptive considering the dry down on this one.

No, I doubt anyone will end up buying the whole line. I went in for the 1911 and Peppermint/Clove. And I got a puck of the bay rum since I love bay rum. I used the 1911 this mornign...early, at about 5AM. I can still smell it on me. Its got a great balance in that the scent's power is tamed down to allow you to splash it on but it doesn't blow off your face 10 minutes later. Most A/S is one extreme or the other. My DR Harris Sandalwood is great but its too strong to splash on. A few drops will be sufficient but then you can't really get the A/S effect of spalshing it on. Then there is most Bay Rum that evaporates into thin air after 15 minutes....which is good for bay rum since I don't want to walk around with a strong bay rum scent all day. Anyway, its a good, thoughtful lineup that offers some variety. I will be re-ordering when my supplies dwindle. Might try the Heartwood or 1904.

If you like sandlewood type scents, go for the heartwood for sure. I will be getting the full size of this one; it's easily become my new favorite splash, and I don't like sandlewood at all...go figure, but it's balance and clean scent are just spot on.

I felt that, the soda pop one aside, they all had merit. I could see enjoying all of them. And none of the products irritate my skin. As much as I like the scents of certain Truefitt and Hill products, they cause a reaction with my skin. Hopefully others will enjoy them too.

I'll let you continue to do the write ups on the review of scents. But I used the Peppermint/Clove soap and A/S this weekend. Fans of that cooling sensation you might associate with Proraso may like this one very much. The scent is completely different from Proraso but the cooling effect is there in full throttle. The A/S has the same effect. But not to worry, the scent of this A/S winds down quickly like a bay rum. Only a faint scent of it remains at the very surface. I'm going to love this on hot summer days.

Couldn't have written it better myself OCD. It definitely had the bite to it, but the cooling lasted for about 15 min on me. I wasn't a big fan of it myself, but the guys who like the menthol blast, and/or more natural scented aftershaves would most likely find this a nice alt to bay rum, or addition as well.

Ok, so that's all of the lineup. My favorites from most to least gotta be:
1. Heartwood
2. 1911
3. Signature 1907
4. Absolute Zero
5. Bayrum
6. Lime and Mint Rum
7. Peppermint clove
8. Old fashioned Soda
I agree with OCD 100% here, regardless of your personal favorite, I think this is a pretty diverse lineup with something for everyone; with the soothing and healing properties that outshine many of the expensive brands on the market today, and it doesn't hurt that they are also made in the U.S.A.Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something...
