I like having something for those kinds of shaves, but it's also nice to have something more mild like thayers or lucky tiger for those good shaves. Good for the skin.

I haven't found any posts about my favourite ASB, so I hope it's ok for you folks if I introduce it here real quick.

It's called SEBAMED After Shave Balsam - a product of a German cosmetics manufacturer which has an outstanding reputation over here. They became famous in the 1950s by introducing pH-value neutral "soaps" and according to many fans (including myself) they rank amongst the most skin-friendly products availabe. My skin has given me a lot of trouble since I was a kid and I achieved some major improvements with a couple of their products.

Their ASB is just remarkable when it comes to a nourishing, non-greasy and quickly absorbed after shave balm. Scent - well, that's always a matter of taste, of course, but it's very lightly and naturally scented, so it doesn't interfere with your Eau de Toilette. On top of that Sebamed has a very strict company policy concerning biologically uncritical ingredients. I have no idea about the availability outside of Germany, of course, but if you should be able to get your hands on it, you should definitely give it a try - especially, when you got sensitive skin and/or want to cut down on your intake of questionable substances.

Second recommendation: Weleda ASB. Same thing here: Strict organic company policy - great product - this time not from Germany, but from Switzerland. Might be easier to get abroad.
