I have a bottle of Thayer's Rose Petal witch hazel, splash it on post shave, and let it dry while I brush my teeth, then I splash on the aftershave. I don't know what witch hazel is or what exactly it does, but it sure makes my face feel good. The bottle has lasted over 1 year, and I still have about 1/4 left.

Given a good shake, it mixes surprisingly well.

The witch hazel plant has been used for a long time back in history. It's an astringent and was used for wound care and just about every other skin condition.

Just remember if you buy the store brands there is a reason it's cheaper. They usually water the stuff way down.

Wal-Mart brand has a bit of alcohol in it, I have sensitive skin and it is not enough to bother me.
The reason alcohol is in aftershave is to help rebalance the skins PH.
I also have Thayer's Lavender and the Aloe.
All of them are great astringents post shave.

Do a search on witch hazel, it has a number of uses.
The value and interest of life is not so much to do conspicuous things.........as to do ordinary things with the perception of their enormous value.

I use witch hazel after every shave, letting it dry before I splash on my aftershave of choice. I use TN Dickinson's from Wal-Mart. Excellent stuff!

    No it's not.

The active ingredient is the same true enough but then they water it down depending on the store brand you buy. if you use the Dickenson and then the walmart brand you don't need no tests to see it's not the same.
