    Default Happy Accident

So I thought I would try something. I put a puck of VDH soap in a mug (didn't want to ruin any of my good stuff on an experiment) and placed it on one of my wifes electric candle warmers. My thought was warm it a bit and lather up with a nice warm lather. I forgot I put it on there and when I came back it was completely melted. So then I moistened a a brush and dipped the tip in the liquid. I then face lathered and got the best performance from VDH I have ever had. I may do it again sometime.

VDH fondue. Interesting concept. How much is left in the brush when your done shaving ?

If you just sparingly dip the tip...not too much. But, if you want to load it down I imagine you can

Useful for travel situations, sort of like soap on a rope - soap in a brush, your one stop shop for your travel shave lathering needs, just moisten her up and away you go.

    I do something similar.
I use a Mr. Coffee electric mug warmer under my shaving bowl.
Can only need leave it on a few minutes while I prep - then it keeps my lather warm.
Cannot leave it on too long, or else it gets a bit too hot - not good for the face or the brush.

I do the same sort of thing with a William's puck, in a mug, in a sink of hot water! Well, Sorta!

I so desperately want to get Williams to work well. Every time I use it, it builds well but the lather deflates and dries within 3 seconds of being applied to my face. I love the scent, though. I may have to try this warmer idea with it...

Best use only that hot a warmer with Glycerin soaps by themselves. The heat can really ruin a Tallow soap. that said, The hot bowl and lather is a wonder if you don't have the soap puck in the mug.
