It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

On a how-long-does-it-take thread a long while back, I got some good-natured laughs about the length of my routine: at that time, about 75 minutes from stropping to clean-up. What can I say, I'm a methodical learner! But yes, things go much faster now.Keep your pivot dry!

Thanked: 5i am at like shave 5 or 6 . Getting better at it for sure . But, the first razor i bought came "shave ready" . Then i got the bug to buy another . Bought one from ebay , shave ready, "but" the guy was litterally 4 miles from me . And what do you know. Shave ready it is . And a big difference in shave quality. Or , maybe i am just getting better at it . But after going back to the original razor , i find the new one better, sharper, cuts better , etc. anyway. My wife notices that i have less irritation now . And i am enjoying the process. And getting fewer nicks along the way.To all new comers ,keep at it .
