Thanked: 3225Letting it first completely heal is a very good idea and the only way to go. Keep us posted on progress once it has healed.

mathnerdm, first, add your location in your bio so it shows. There just might be a number of members near you that you can talk too about soaps/creams. Even a mentor nearby who certainly would help you. I understand the money problem but if you go to a Walmart or similar you can pick up a puck of Van Der Hagen glycerin soap for sensitive skin for under $2.00. That was one of my first soaps and I had no irritations from using it. If you would like, PM me with your address and I will gladly send you a tube of shaving cream for problem skin from my limited stash.

Based on your OP, I would say it's the brush that is causing the irritation. As was pointed out by other posters, you didn't get redness when you bowl lathered, only when face lathering. The variable clearly shows the application method is the main cause.
However, I will say that many soaps with heavy essential oils will cause a burning sensation. Search AOS sandalwood and see what other people's reactions/reviews of this soap might indicate. I can't remember my tub of that particular scent giving me burning issues like that.

I cant face lather with any of my brushes - i get far too much irritattion and redness. I bowl lather. Your location woudl help asotehrs mntioned, to help find a cheap local source of decent gentle, soaps and creams.

Just a shot in the dark. What I can see is that you need to clean your bush after using and get the acne bacteria off of it,second when you scrape the pimple ,yep they get irritated really fast so you are fighting several problems at the same time. Also use an anti-bacteria soap before shaving,if your acne is infected ,get some products that will help you get control of the acne. You are fighting a losing battle if you do not get control of the acne.Hope this helps.----------james.
