Yum. Olive oil. Excellent for salads and cooking. Not bad for shining up a pipestem or briar, either.
As with all oils you rub on your face with your hands, preshave, you end up with oily hands proximate to a razor. I tried several preshave oils early on and decided it was more of a nuisance to get off my hands than it was a benefit to my shaving. I couldn't say olive oil worked better or worse than any other commercial oil prep. I settled on Proraso preshave menthol stuff and, later, Noxema cold cream; both rinse off in an instant with water."We'll talk, if you like. I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk."
