Nor do I. Some advice is best left unused.

I've seen peroxide applied to a small facial wound/nick cause a deep pit scar the size of a large pea. The peroxide got into the wound and dissolved the tissue underneath.

I've used the low percentage medical antiseptic type mixed with soap to help clean oil out of clothes. I wouldn't say that it gives a stiffer lather. It gives a more foamy, airy lather.
I'm not about to put a razor near it.

I think I may go put a straight pin in some peroxide and see how quickly it rusts.

I guess the good part of this insanity would be if you cut or nicked yourself you wouldn't have to look for something to stop the bleeding. I was told diesel fuel also works well. If you believe these I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.

Diesel will stop a bleeding wound. So will kerosene and it doesn't sting as much.
There are safer options, obviously, but if you are in the field you do what you have to do.

And a straight pin in 3% hydrogen peroxide solution rusted plain carbon steel in an hour and stainless steel after 8 hours.
Definitely not going to be using it in my lather.

I've used both in the field with great success. The 2 also do a great job of keeping away flying insects and girls. Let me amend that, some girls are attracted to the trucker - mechanic type guys so use all the diesel you want.
