    Default just thought I'd share...

So I have thick hair and I work outside all year round. During the winter months my skin and scalp get very dry and flakey so when the weather starts getting colder I like to get in the habit of using conditioner for my scalp, but it does help my hair as well. So last night in the shower I had a great idea to use conditioner on my face and really rub it in and let it sit mor a minute like I do with my scalp.

It could be that I'm just improving with the shavette(only been at it for a week) but it really seemed to help the shave.

Has anyone tried this before? Or would like to try it and give me some feedback on whether or not it was just a placebo?

Yep, I've tried using conditioner on my beard for a pre-shave and it seems to work. I normally shave after my shower which also seems to help soften the beard. I do notice a big difference between showering before shaving and just face washing at the sink before shaving. There is considerable more resistance with just the face washing.
Using conditioner as a pre-shave is written about in the SRP Library.

Good to know its not a placebo haha. Yea it seemed to work great and I only shave after a shower anyways so it looks like I have a new beard prep.

Shaving oil doesnt appeal to me and from what I've heard I dont really have any desire to try it any time soon...
