I've been a big advocate for Noxema for a long time, it's 5 times cheaper than the Proraso pre/post cream and it's the same thing. My routine is a little different ,, I just apply the noxema just before I step into the shower. By the time it's rinsed off and ,m out my beard is prepped, on really hot and humid days here in Memphis it also does a great job cooling the face post shave, but irregardless I always lather my face, and after stropping, I then apply a towel to rehydrate again and relather, and with my tough beard this is working.
